Today our blog “Children By the Numbers” is one year old. So much has happened in that one year.
We hope that our blog has helped you in your own work advocating for children. At the very least, we hope that by showing you the data, you have some notion of the diverse, maddening community that is our home. It is frustrating to realize that in a county of such wealth and plenty, there are still children and families that live in poverty and need. In a place brimming with intelligence and potential, there are schools that are still failing to give children the preparation they need to make it in today’s workforce.
Thank you for your time and your advocacy.
PS. If you have any suggestions on what we can improve upon as we embark upon Children By the Numbers’ second year, please let us know in the comments below. We’d like to know what really got you going, and which posts you found most useful. We’d even be willing to listen to you vent about which posts should have been sent straight for the virtual trash can. We’re not going anywhere!
