Meet Wendy! WCA wrote our first children’s story called ‘Wendy Finds A Home in Westchester‘ to help spread awareness about the unique struggle of homeless children and families in our county as part of our End-of-Year fundraising campaign. The beautiful illustrations were created by Anita Edelman Fleischner, and it was warmly narrated by actor, Michael Boatman. Wendy’s story has a happy ending, but over 2,800 homeless children and youth in Westchester aren’t so lucky.
You can help us spread the word and change policies so homeless children in Westchester can get the help they need…
Your support helps improve the lives of Westchester’s young people!
To protect our independence, Westchester Children’s Association does not accept government funds. We are supported solely by individual donations, private and corporate foundations, and bequests.
And that is why we – and the young people of Westchester – are counting on your support.
In addition to making a secure donation online, you can also:
- Make a credit card donation by calling 914.946.7676 ext. 300.
- Mail a check or money order made payable to Westchester Children’s Association to: Westchester Children’s Association, 470 Mamaroneck Avenue, Suite 304, White Plains, NY 10605. If you’d like to make a gift in honor or memory of someone, please note it on the memo line of your check.
Become a Monthly Donor
Giving a little each month can do a lot to help the most vulnerable children in Westchester County and grow with our work. As a monthly donor you will become a ‘Defender for Children’ and the first 100 to join will have a CubCoat donated to a child in need in your honor.
