Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) has long paid attention to ensuring that youth remained engaged in their education to make the successful transition to adulthood. In Spring 2023, WCA filed a FOIL request with the NY Education Department to obtain suspension data broken down by race and grade. We obtained the data in late July that same year.
