Westchester Children’s Association Kicks-Off Centennial Year with Announcement at Sam’s of Gedney Way
What: Press Event for Westchester Children’s Association’s (WCA) Centennial Year Kick-off
When: Wednesday, January 15, 2014, 5:30 – 6:00 pm
Where: Sam’s of Gedney Way, 50 Gedney Way, White Plains, New York
Why: For the past 100 years the Westchester Children’s Association has advocated on behalf of Westchester County’s children and youth to ensure that they have the building blocks they need for a successful life. To kick off their centennial year the organization invites the press to:
- Meet children and youth who participate in programs at partnering organizations and find out how the work of WCA supports the programs;
- Hear the first public announcement of a major gift WCA has received;
- Receive a copy of the just-released WCA publication: Children By the Numbers;
- Hear a brief overview of WCA’s accomplishments of the past 100 years; and learn about the organization’s vision and ambition for the future (including a first viewing of their new look).
