Each Fall WCA brings together parents, educators, community members, government officials, and other key stakeholders to discuss an issue that is impacting our children today. This year we will be focusing on the very important issue of mental health.
In May of 2024 the Surgeon General of the United States Dr. Vivek Murthy Urges issued an advisory on the effects of social media on children’s mental health. Click here to read the full report. This year we will delve into this topic with our keynote speaker Max Stossel is an award winning poet, filmmaker, and speaker. He was named by Forbes magazine as one of the best storytellers of the year. He will lead a discussion around this topic.
