The Road to Empowerment and Advocacy: Parents as Change Agents

In the fall of 2024, WCA held the first sessions of their Parent Empowerment Groups. These groups, which operate in cohorts of English and Spanish-speaking parents, typically consist of mothers who are struggling to make ends meet. This report, “The Road to Empowerment and Advocacy: Parents as Change Agents”, is a study of these parent’s experiences, and their first steps into the world of activism and self-advocacy.
