Security
We care about the security of your transactions and apply industry-standard practices and technologies to safeguard your personal information. We are especially grateful for the donations that help us continue our valuable work on behalf of the children of Westchester, and it is of the utmost importance to us that your credit card information remains secure. We use DonorPro and its partner payment company CardConnect to store and protect your credit card information and other personally identifiable information from unauthorized access, both within and outside of our organization. In our offices, only employees who need the information to perform a specific job function are granted access to personal information, and all of our databases are password-protected.
Although we make good faith efforts to store information that we collect in a secure operating environment, we cannot guarantee complete security. Third parties may unlawfully intercept or access information without our consent. We urge you to take reasonable precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet, such as using a strong password and only entering your credit card information on secure sites.

WCA collects personal information about you from: You, when you voluntarily provide us with information (for example, when you sign up for our email list or choose to donate via our website); and Your browser, when you visit our website and your browser interacts with us.
The personal information we collect about you through these sources may include, but is not limited to; Name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, your issues and interests; Credit card numbers, including associated billing addresses and expiration dates; and Transactional data, such as the number of tickets purchased.
You may remove yourself from our mailing list or email list at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or (914) 946-7676, or clicking the unsubscribe link included in our email communications.
Please do not submit information about other people without their prior consent.
Cookies and Collection of Aggregate Data
In addition to obtaining your personal information when you submit it to us, we may collect non-personally identifiable information. WCA’s purpose in collecting this information is to understand how visitors use our website and to better tailor our site to their needs. Like most website operators, WCA collects non-personally-identifying information such as the browser type, referring site, pages visited, and the date and time of each visitor request. None of this tracking information identifies you personally; we collect it for reporting onsite activity in the aggregate. For example, we may want to know how long the average user spends on our site or which pages or features get the most attention.
Our website may set “cookies” for the purpose of collecting aggregate statistics about the total number of visitors to our website or to ensure that visitors have registered to view restricted publications. A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. We do not store any personally identifiable information in cookies. WCA visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using the WCA website, with the drawback that certain features of the website may not function properly without the aid of cookies.
Google advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers such as user demographics and interest categories may be enabled on our website in order to collect further data about website traffic. We will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information collected through any Google advertising product or feature unless we have the user’s prior affirmative consent to that merger. You can opt-out of the Google Analytics Advertising Features we use, including through Ads Settings, Ad Settings for mobile apps, or any other available means (for example, the NAI’s consumer opt-out). Click here to see Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs for the web.

WCA’s website contains links to other sites. Unless expressly stated otherwise, WCA makes no representations whatsoever concerning the content of those sites and such a link is not an endorsement, authorization, sponsorship, or affiliation with respect to such site, its owners, or its providers. You should review the privacy policies of these other sites for more information about how they may collect and use personal information.
Children Under 13
WCA believes every precaution should be taken to protect children online. We do not knowingly collect or maintain any personal information about children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, we ask that you do not submit personal information anywhere on the WCA website. We encourage parents and guardians to discuss the Internet with their children and monitor personal information that a child may provide via the Internet.
