WCA is an advocacy organization which does not provide direct services but works alongside the organizations below so that every child in Westchester has what they need!

Community Services Helplines

United Way of Westchester & Putnam’s 211 Helpline

Dial 211, if you are looking to be directed to community services in Westchester. The helpline serves as a confidential, comprehensive and primary entry point into community service information, referral and assistance. The service is available 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the year with translation services available in over 200 languages. 2-1-1 resources are accessible 24 yours a day through the 2-1-1 Web site at www.hudson211.org.

For legal help 
Call the New York State Office of New Americans hotline at (800) 566-7636. As per its website, all call information is confidential, assistance is available in 200+ languages, and referrals are provided to free legal help and immigration-related programs.

Women, Infant, Child Nutrition Services (WIC) – provides supplemental foods, nutrition education, and referrals for health care and other services. Visit their website to schedule an appointment with the WIC offices in Westchester County. https://health.westchestergov.com/wic

Feeding Westchester – distributes food to the community via their Mobile Food Pantry, and helps low-income families access SNAP. https://feedingwestchester.org/find-help/agency-locator/

The Sharing Shelf – fights inaccessibility to basic needs by providing low-income families access to clothing, diapers, school backpacks, period products, and toiletries.
