WCA is excited to introduce Adam Rabinovitch as the organization’s new Executive Director!
After WCA’s previous Executive Director, Allison Lake, announced her retirement in February 2025, the WCA Board of Directors began their search for who would be next to take on the leadership role. We are happy to welcome Adam to the team! With over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit and private sectors, Adam proves to be a worthy successor to Allison, and a passionate leader who will shape the future of WCA.
Before joining WCA, Adam served as Executive Director of COPE, a nonprofit grief and healing organization supporting families who have lost a child. He was also the Executive Director of GOAL, helping children in under-resourced communities thrive academically and personally. With these previous leadership roles at children’s service organizations, Adam comes to WCA well-equipped with a deep understanding of the urgent academic, health-related, and economic needs facing children and families in our community. Adam grew up in Westchester and understands the diversity, complexity, and richness of our county.
He also has a deep empathy for our communities’ newest families! Earlier in Adam’s career, he was Deputy Director of Neighbors Link, a Westchester-based nonprofit supporting immigrant families. This experience will pair particularly well with WCA’s ongoing Parent Empowerment Groups, half of which are hosted in Spanish and serve many immigrant families. Fun fact, he can even speak Spanish himself!
A proud graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, Adam’s focus across his career has been consistent: building mission-driven organizations that center equity, generate sustainable growth, and drive meaningful impact in education, poverty reduction, and social justice. Adam steps into his role at WCA ready to build the future of Westchester’s leading child advocacy organization.
“I’m honored to join with WCA’s dedicated board, team, partners, and supporters to build on the organization’s powerful legacy and help shape a more equitable future for all Westchester’s children,” said Adam.
Welcome aboard, Adam! We are excited to work with you to build the future of children’s advocacy.
