July 1st, 2025, was Allison Lake Day in Westchester County. Displayed on the marquee in front of the Westchester County Center, passerbys saw the Westchester County Board of Legislator’s message honoring Allison for her service to the county’s children. WCA thanks the Legislators, especially Legislator Jewel Williams Johnson, for their recognition of this legacy of impact.
The WCA team at the marquee!
To sustain this legacy of our trailblazing Executive Director, who will soon be retiring from her role, WCA launched the Allison Lake Action Fund in March. Its purpose is to build the future of children’s advocacy in Westchester, with its funds allocated to expanding WCA’s data operations, and eventually hiring a part-time Data & Policy Associate.
Since the launch of the Fund, we are proud to announce that we have raised just over $55,000!
The team at Westchester Children’s Association cannot thank our supporters enough. Each donor who has given to the Fund, has taken the advocacy work of our organization a step further, enabling us to do more and more to support the children of Westchester each year.
WCA is happy to announce that the Action Fund will continue, remaining open for donations until the end of the summer! As we transition to the leadership of a new Executive Director, it is more critical than ever to support WCA’s work and ensure that the organization’s work can expand.
If you haven’t given yet to the Action Fund, please donate today! If you have given already and would like to double your impact, consider making another donation, sharing with a friend who would like to donate, and sharing with your employer to match your donation.
