WHUD Radio Spotlights Raise the Age

Westchester Children’s Association’s Deputy Director, Allison Lake, shared about the importance of raising the age of adult criminal responsibility during a spotlight with Sue Guzman from WHUD Radio.

New York is one of two states that have not raised the age of criminal responsibility to 18. That means 16- and 17-year-olds who commit crimes are processed as an adult rather than through the juvenile rehabilitation system.
