On May 13, 2026, Westchester Children’s Association hosted its annual Gala, bringing together community members, advocates, partners, and supporters for an inspiring evening dedicated to children and families across Westchester County.
The evening was filled with connection, celebration, and shared purpose as guests gathered to support WCA’s mission of advancing equity and improving outcomes for all children in our community.
A special highlight of the evening was honoring Maris H. Krasnow, Ed.D., in recognition of her extraordinary impact on children and families. The event was made even more meaningful by the presence of her family and friends, whose love and support reflected the deep appreciation for her work and legacy.

WCA is deeply grateful to its Board of Directors and generous donors whose ongoing commitment makes this work possible. Their leadership and support continue to strengthen advocacy efforts and community programs that benefit children across Westchester.
The evening featured a lively auction, live performances by the Westchester Music Conservatory, and special music from Karen Baer, a close friend of Maris, whose performance added a personal and heartfelt moment to the celebration.

More than a celebration, the Gala served as a reminder of the importance of coming together as a community to support children and families. The energy in the room reflected both gratitude for the progress made and commitment to the work still ahead.
Westchester Children’s Association thanks all who attended, supported, and contributed to the success of the evening. While the Gala has concluded, there are still opportunities to support WCA’s mission and continue making an impact throughout the year.
