Marian Wright Edelman, a nationally recognized advocate for children and the founder and president of Children’s Defense Fund, urged listeners to stand up for the needs and rights of children at the Westchester Children’s Association’s annual Advocacy Breakfast on March 12.
“We have a big, national children’s crisis. Every fifth child in this country is poor. That is why the work of organizations like the Westchester Children’s Association is so important. A poor child can do anything any child can do if we support them…”
