Although Raise the Age reforms were not passed during this legislative session, Westchester Children’s Association remains committed to seeing this important issue through to the end.

In the coming weeks, WCA will hold the governor to his promise of prioritizing Raise the Age reforms – for the sake of our youth, and for our communities’ safety.

WCA is proud of the work the Youth Shelter Program is doing to help teens turn their lives around – and we hope that some day soon, all 16 and 17 year olds in Westchester, and throughout New York, will receive that same rehabilitative support.
