Allison Lake Speaks to Ethical Culture Society of Westchester

Allison Lake of the Westchester Children’s Association was our guest for the Sunday Platform Meeting.

Ms. Lake explained the background of the Raise The Age movement in New York and the impact on justice-involved youth in Westchester. She also described the 2017 RTA legislation, what is missing and what are the next steps to strive for.

Allison Lake is Deputy Director of the Westchester Children’s Association where she is responsible for its programmatic initiatives, leading WCA’s advocacy partnerships and community mobilization efforts. She received her BA from Amherst College and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. She brings over 25 years of experience in nonprofit and community work both in the US and in West Africa, as a Peace Corps volunteer. She has held management positions at the National Civic League and Associated Black Charities. Allison also worked in youth development with City Volunteer corps program in NYC and the YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester. Allison lives in Greenburgh with her husband and has two young adult children.
