A 100-Year History of Speaking Up for Children

Westchester Children’s Association was honored to be featured in an article by Westfair Communications, “Nonprofit marks a century of tracking youths’ needs.” The article highlights our 100-year history of speaking up for Westchester’s children, a journey focused on a single mission — every child healthy, safe, and prepared for life’s challenges.

100 years later, our focus hasn’t changed. Our job is to “identify children’s unmet needs, make those needs known to the public and policymakers and mobilize to see that those needs are met.” The specific issues and challenges that our children and youth are facing may change over time, but Westchester’s youngest will always need someone to stand up for them.
